Colleton River Plantation

We have been blessed with some magnificent pieces of property to work with, perhaps none finer than the 1,500 acres that provide the setting for Colleton River Plantation.

This picturesque private community, surrounded on three sides by water and bordered by a 1,200-acre nature preserve, offers panoramic views of the Colleton and Chechessee Rivers, with deepwater access to the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean. It has been called the finest piece of land anywhere in the Lowcountry.

Our task was to draw our inspiration from the unspoiled beauty. Deepwater private docks, along with a community dock, were built to allow residents to enjoy the splendor of the open water and natural wetlands. There are walking and biking trails throughout the property, providing more opportunities to enjoy the saltwater marshes, maritime forests and wildlife.

The three golf courses (a Pete Dye 18-hole course, a Jack Nicklaus 18-hole Signature course, and a 9-hole Augusta National-type par-3 course) also capitalize on Colleton River’s surrounding beauty to give golfers an experience as visually appealing as it is challenging. The Clubhouse overlooks the golf course and the Colleton River, providing stunning sunsets and a casual yet elegant atmosphere.
